BAP Resume CD

BAP Resume Book Guidelines and Resume CD Consent Form

1) Submit a hard copy of your resume. Resumes may only be 1 page long with a 1-inch left margin. It may only be black and white on plain white paper. All hard copy resumes must be submitted by Friday, August 22nd.

2) Submit your resume and your signed Consent Form in a manila envelope labeled "Beta Alpha Psi Resume Book" to the BAP box in Room SBA 560 (Slip under the door if office is closed). All resumes must be submitted with a signed consent form to appear in the resume book. A consent form is attached to this message.

3) The fee for inclusion in the book is $25 for non-members and FREE for members and pledges. Payment will be accepted by check only, made payable to "Beta Alpha Psi." Please write "BAP Resume" in the memo section of the check and include with your resume and consent form in the manila envelope.

4) E-mail your resume as a word attachment to Dan Erickson erickson7999@comcast.net with "BAP Resume CD" in the subject line by Friday, August 22nd. Please indicate your full name and a phone number where you can be most readily reached within the body of the email. You'll receive a confirmation message within a few days.

Recruiters from major accounting firms will be available to review your resume and provide valuable one-on-one feedback. This is a terrific opportunity to polish your resume before you submit it for inclusion in the BAP resume book.

You MUST sign-up to participate.

Dress is business casual, bring cover letter and resume to the event. Sign-up for a 30 minute appointment between 9:00 and 12:00PM (last appointment at 11:30am). Appointments will be held in the PSU Career Center USB 402.

Summer Cruise with KPMG

Here is an excellent opportunity to network with professionals. The summer cruise with KPMG is a great way to get to know the professionals from the firm and develop your networking skills. The cruise takes place on the Willamette River and leaves from the OMSI dock at 5:45 p.m. and will return at 8:30 p.m. The event has limited space, so RSVP is required.

The Oregon Food Bank serves those in need in Oregon and SW Washington. For every dollar donated, Oregon Food Bank can collect and distribute about five pounds of food through its food distribution program. In an average month last year, an estimated 192,000 people in Oregon and Clark County, WA ate meals from an emergency food box.

Date/Time: Friday, June 20 from 8-10pm (if you would like to attend the salsa lesson let me know and I can get someone to take over your shift at 9)

Jobs needed: Greeters, set-up, accepting the food donations, etc.

Cost: As this is a benefit, even volunteers will need to pay the $7 + 2 non-perishable food items or $10 without the food donation.

Who can attend: This event is open ONLY to BAP members/Pledges - there are only 10 slots open se be sure to RSVP soon!

RSVP Deadline: Friday, May 23 at 5pm

This event actually runs until 2am, so feel free to stay around!

Volunteer Event - Seaside Beach Clean-up

This year, Beta Alpha Psi-Epsilon Alpha is taking the initiative to help keep Oregon beautiful.

We are partnering with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. and this event is a great chance to get to know some of the professionals in a casual environment.

Beta Alpha Psi is providing:

• Transportation from PSU to and from Seaside

• Lunch

• Bags and gloves

Event Date: Saturday, May 31, 2008

Event Time: 9am to 3pm (including travel time)

10:30am to 1:30pm clean up time

Who is eligible: This event is open ONLY to BAP members and pledges (all the more reason to get an application in, right?)
