Membership eligibility
You are eligibile to apply if you have the following:
- at least one year before graduationg,
- completed or enroll in a 300-level accounting course,
- declared concentration in accounting, finance or information systems,
- cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all course work, OR
- GPA of 3.25 in the most recent 45 quarter hours attempted in PSU
Steps to become a member:
Step 1
Submit the following to the BAP mailbox in SBA 560.

- Membership Application
- DARS Report or PSU Unofficial transcript
- Submit $55 Pledge Fee by check payable to “Beta Alpha Psi”
Step 2
Our VP of Member Development will inform you that your application has been process and hours earned in the current and future terms will count toward the earning your membership.
Step 3
Earn your hours toward your membership. The required hours are presented in the following.
Total of 20 hours must be complete before obtaining of membership. Out of the 10 Professional Hours and 10 Community Service Hours, at least 5 of each must be BAP sponsor hours.
BAP sponsor hours are hours spent participating events, service activities that BAP puts on and BAP regular meetings.
Professional hours, are hours spent participating, lectures, workshops and others activities which you will learn new skills toward the professions. Examples of BAP sponsored professional hours include BAP regular meetings, Mock interviews, Resume Critiques, Meet the Firms and Spring Dessert. Please note that Networking events EXCEPT Meet the Firms and Spring Dessert are not counted as Professional Hours.
Community service hours are hours spent volunteering in the community. Examples of BAP sponsored Community service hours include tutoring in the BAP tutoring lab, Tax-aid preparer, BAP organized Oregon Food Bank community service
Please Note, only 75% of hours earned in one term can carry over to the next term.
Step 4
Log your hours in the Hours log found at the bottom of this page. Submit it to our VP of reporting (Lilly Wu, wu.lilly@gmail.com) via e-mail.
Step 5
If all goes well, our VP of reporting will contact you shortly to inform you that you are now a MEMBER!
